The File Manager that comes with the Playbook OS can read the micro SD card on my Bold 9900 no problem. However I bought File Browser and Files and Folders, and neither can read the card. My Bold is running 7.1.0.267 as provided by Telus and I'm using the latest Bridge.

Any ideas why these programs cannot see the micro SD card? Running Playbook OS 2.1.0.840. Note: OS 2.0.1.668 had the same problem for me.

Neither program is designed to read the SD card over bridge is my guess. Not sure if RIM ever released those API's to the third party developers.

Half a year ago, File Browser could access my files. But I have switched from a Rogers personal Bold 9900 to a corporate Telus 9900. Does BES disable this function? Also, I cannot remember the versions of OSes when it was working.

BES actively prevents 3rd party apps from accessing Bridge files in an attempt to prevent company data from leaking outside the corporate perimeter.

I'm on the official OS and cannot get to my bb 9930 using File Browser, Files&Folders either. I think I use to be able to do it but don't recall the OS.

In Files & Folders swipe down from the top and choose bridge. Tap sd card and you are on your way.

Yep - I just tried that and my PB (OS 2.1.0.840) can see all my 9700 SD card files:

    playbook:/Blackberry/SDCard

    But - I'm on a 9700 not a 9900 - so maybe just adding to the confusion.

Not working on the official OS. I get "No bridge files found. Please connect your phone and unlock bridge...."

But my 9930 is bridged and that works in other respects.

Not on BES. Official OS from Verizon for the bb.

Well, then I guess I'm running the old official before pulled OS!
