Over the past couple weeks I had been out on the road, had access to my laptop when in the hotel but while mobile I had two choices 1 was a carrier enabled tablet or my bridged PB. I was the passenger so tried working on my tablet and was very slow or kept dropping the signal. I mainly purchased a carrier enabled tablet to use while on the road since purchasing the BB Z10 and had lost some bridge functions. Finally I got tired of the come and go connections and took out my PB turned on the bridge function opened the browser and was able to continue my work bridged to the Z10 with no problems at all. I have to admit I was surprised at the connection I have been getting when bridged not sure if it's the phone or carrier but alot better than with BBOS7.

I also forgot to add that typing on the PB keyboard was so much better and easier to use. Now thinking about putting the PB In full use again.

Nice comments. I've also been using my PB more linked to my Z10 for work. It is a great pairing.

Do you have to use mobile hotspot to tether? "Internet tethering" doesn't work for me. And I don't think bridge actually enables my tmobile connection on the PB... just got it so still figuring everything out.

Good story. I too have a carrier data enabled tablet (the Tab 3 Sprint Edition), but I also find that I use my PlayBook more and more. I really like the app selection on the Tab, and it's fantastic for reading as it is lighter, but the PlayBook battery lasts longer and the UI is so much more fluid on the PlayBook. Multitaking is a lot better too.

Edit: forgot to mention the SOUND! the speakers are so much better!

If you have tethering or hot spot included in your plan it will work. My Z10 is with ATT which I had to remove Sim card load BlackBerry bridge and put the card back in. I now also have a Verizon Z30 with hot spot so I can connect my PB as well. My other Tablet was purchased from Sprint with 2GB data plan and still fails me when needed.
