Maybe if we get enough people checking in here we can get the Bridge for Playbooks for our Z10, Q10, Q5 and upcoming BB10 Blackberry's...I'll be the first. Please give us The Bridge back at least as good as it was with the legacy devices. I had an 8530 Curve and feel like I was downgraded on this app when I got my Z10. I bought three 16GB Playbooks and one 64GB Playbook. We have 3 Z10's

EDIT2: Today I called Blackberry Playbook/BB10 Support @ 1-877-644-8410, Spoke to a nice lady that has given us two email addresses to the "Back Office Development Teams" they are as follows: <[email protected]> and <[email protected]> . If we flood these 2 places with our request for the Bridge to have some development on our Q10's and Z10's we may just inspire them to add a few functions to the OS's to come. I spoke of the 6-8 million of us that have purchased BB10 phones so far. My estimate may have been a little off but they got the message. They are awaiting constructive ideas and thoughts (be specific) from all of us. EMAIL THEM NOW, PLEASE

EDIT3: This is not a place for complaints, but for suggestions. Developers are asking for what we want. If you want some change or addition to your phone...tell me. They can build on suggestions. They can't build anything constructive on whining to developers. If you have to whine, send it to Public Relations Front Office, please not here.

Update: I have emailed the Developers (both email addresses) to let them know that 4,473 people were interested enough in getting our Z10's and Q10's hooking up better to our Playbooks to read this post and that some have left suggestions. Today August 13, 2013 1:00 am. I encouraged them to read this thread on Crackberry. Please add some more suggestions. No whiners.

I'm just courious as to why the BB10 bridge is so dumbed down. Could it be the OS on the 10 and the PB are not compatiable or did the just want to forget about us.


I was in Dallas ths week and there was some kind of BB meeting going on at the hotel I was at BB sinage everywhere and a lot of people wearing BB black they really kept to themselfs, I was able to talk with one and they wouldn't comfirm or deny a full bridge for BB10 and PB

I too would like to see full bridge functionality restored with the BB10 devices. I still use my 9930 and keep it bridged all the time with my Playbook. I've been holding off upgrading to a BB10 device specifically because the bridge functionality is so limited. I much prefer reading my phone's email on my Playbook. Please give us back our bridge!

Yea I want my full bridge back. They also need to work on the remote function on the Q10. It is really annoying to use 2 fingers to scroll as the box is not big enough for my fat fingers much less 2 of them. Alt and scroll should have been brought back and they also left out the option click or "right" click. Need it to select "Open in New Tab" without it I don't have a choice. My Playbook used to be an extension of my Bold. Now it stands alone and that is literally forcing me and everyone here to mothball it. Bridge made BlackBerry PlayBook unique with a BlackBerry device. They got rid of the unique qualities and then left it all together. I think some things needed to change and some didn't. This didn't need to. They could have done relatively well continuing the PlayBook with OS2.2 or what have you and bring out a dummy screen version specifically for bridging. These are the types of accessories that business users want and students and people who don't need a powerful computer/laptop sitting at home. That sells phones you know! It didn't have to be BB10. It just had to be BB.

Thanks for the post. I did not realize it was a problem.

I have two Playbooks (32 and 64) that I bridge with my 9810. Love it but my phone is getting old so was about to buy a Q10. I will now wait.

I sure hope they improve it for BB10. I want to upgrade!

I think someone posted yesterday that there were some issues with getting it working on bb10 but I'm not sure much more was said. And I don't know which thread it might have been in.

What eats my lunch is that one of the features I waited so long for- the sms bridge- finally arrived and I lost it when uograding to the Z10.

To me, texting from a tablet you are currently using seems to be a natural step in the evolution of. Personal computing devices. How the bb dev team allowed the bridge to DEvolve when the bb10 line launched is beyond me.

Put me down for full bridge functionality too. I have 2 playbooks, 16gb &64gb. I use my 64gb everyday and miss full bridge functionality, also some improvements to browser would be great too. I am disappointed that bb10 isn't coming but I can live without it, the playbook is an awesome tablet as is, just needs some minor tweaks and I am sure that will keep most of us happy. Come on Blackberry, do the right thing for us loyal customers!!!

No ... that's not how they do things, they say yes, it's just coming, it's in development, it's going to be awesome, it will change your life, it's just around the corner, not long now .... oh hang on we're bored now and are moving to another set of false promises....... so bridge is not on our plans although a preliminary date of the 12th of Never has been put forward for review on the shelf
