When I open Bridge Messages the view I get is of the various email messages on the left side frame and then the larger frame is the open email.

I can't work out how to change this view - I don't want any of the email messages to open unless I click on them.

Anyone know how to do this? Is it possible.

Also, it would be wonderful if you could somehow hover over the icons on the bottom and read what they are about .....

just tap on the individual email in the notification area and it will open in its own window.

thanks for trying to help but what i'm trying to do is prevent the auto opening of emails in the view screen

i can't work out how to change the settings so that the emails only open when i tap on them- rather than the first email in the list auto opening when i go into the email program.

has anyone found out how to do this - prevent emails auto opening?

Turn your PlayBook to portrait orientation and the messages will list just like they do on the phone. There's no way to change the auto-preview in landscape view.

I agree - the icons, at least, to me, are not all that meaningful.

All you have to do is tap and hold the button and its lable will appear.

People, all you have to do is play and experiment with your PlayBook to find it is not nearly as "unfinished" as many claim it is.
