hi i was wondering if you could help me... my bridge connection keeps cutting out... it will stay connected for about 15 mins then disappear... i wont be able to look at my calender or surf pages for about 5 mins or i have to turn the bluetooth off and on again...this is not all the time but i usually use wifi when at home and not at work... which is when i use the bridge.. is this a common problem? or is there a fix for it other than trying to reinstall? i have hard resetted.

Are you on the beta or official? You should try deleting the bluetooth profiles on both and restart both and repair.

I agree with kbz1960. I would delete both references (on PB and BB). Reboot both and than re par them.

annoyingly, this hasnt changed anything and it is still not working properly. I thought this might have something to do with orange not being great and the browser but the fact that the calender entries dont come up make me think its actually something to do with the bridge itself. i even deleted bridge and reinstalled it on my 9700.

    urgh

    are you on BES?

if so, does your IT force you to put a password on your BB?

if so, what is the time out or lock out period?

Nope. i am on a personal blackberry. Another problem i have is when i turn the bluetooth on and off to try and spur on the connection to work again, it, most of the time, doesnt connect and says "contacting blackberry smartphone" or something.. if i get the calender entries up, i close it then 5 mins later, i try and open it, and its empty again.

all this works fine when i am connected to wifi as far as i know.

same here.. i got a long time issue regarding the bb bridge. i have 9700 using wifi only, everytime i put it to bridge it will connect for just 3mins and it will be cut off same goes with my wifi connection.

im using apple mighty mouse and apple wireless keyboard on my pb and i dont have issue with it, working flawlessly. thats why i dont think i have a bt radio issues...

its really annoying because that minute, when the bridge works, its actually incredible.. but i dont want to have to take off the password, and i also dont want to have to reinstall every time i want to use the bridge function.

I havent updated my bb in a long time so i am going to try and see if there is a software update that fixes this tonight when i get home.

Any chance of interference with another device? Cordless phone, cordless headphones, etc?

Nope. Nothing else.. i deleted all the other phones it had bluetooth connections to, as well. I phoned BB support and they said to try and reinstall the playbook hardware. Going to try this tonight.. I am also going to try and pair it with my sisters torch and see if its a problem with the phone as opposed to the PB itself.

if it doesnt work, i am going to return to store and get a replacement.

With it on plug the pb into the usb port, open dm, after dm is loaded restart your pb while still plugged in. Choose update when prompted by dm.
