I don't recall which phone but someone did have that problem.

The person downloaded an older version of bridge app that worked from

    rroyy.com

You need to use the phone to download the version ota (over the air) but you can navigate the site on computer to follow the links as it is easier to see the site and its archives on a computer, the follow those links on the phone and download. Oh, remove the current non-working version first.

Hopefully, rim will find out what's wrong with the current Bridge version that causes it to "install but be missing."

I'm having this problem on my Torch 9860. I was able to install the old bridge version 1.xx but the reason I WANT bridge is to use playbook remote. I tried updating bridge but of course the icon disappeared...and if I download the .jad file from rroy, transfer it to my microSD card and then open it up on the BB, it gets a download error. Does anyone know how to get Bridge 2.0 when the icon doesn't appear anywhere? (It shows as installed, and yes, I've looked everywhere with all icons showing, even hidden ones)

We had that issue with my wife's 9700. I deleted the app>battery pull>installed a lower version>then upgraded to current.

I've done that a few times already, and it hasn't worked. You upgraded through appworld, right?

    No, rroyy.
The bridge updates on rroyy are ota. Open his site from the phone browser.

I was trying that but I kept getting an error. it's because the webpage was loading a "mobile formatted version", and wouldn't let me open the link. I switched that and it's working now. Thanks for your help, I hope it installs after it downloads.

sounds like you installed the wrong version.

are you using OS 7.1? if so, make sure you download the corresponding version of rroyy.

Nope, OS 7.0. Actually, when I check for an update, it says none are available, but yet it's definitely running 7.0.

You should be using 2.0.0.25 for OS7.

Ok, so I completely restarted everything from scratch and nothing's working so far. I started off by uninstalling bridge (through application management), and then doing a battery pull. Then I installed bridge 1.xx through the desktop manager using an ALX file along with the other files. When that installed my BB restarted, and I could see it just fine. Next up, I went to rroy.com/ota, downloaded and installed bridge 2.0.0.25 for OS 7.0. When my BB restarted, it was nowhere to be found. Didn't show up in search, and it is showing all icons. I've been trying to figure this on and off for nearly a month now without any luck
