Bridge
Hi
Been lurking for a while now and got my 32gig playbook a couple of weeks ago.
Can someone tell me about bridge. Specifically does the palybook look for a wifi signal first or does it go staight ot the 3g signal. Is there a way to set wifi as a priority.
This could make a significant difference in monthly costs. Currently I shut off the bridge connection when I have a wifi signal.
Thanks

If you have WIFI available the PB will use that. Your phone would also be on that same WIFI so no data charges.

actually you initiate the bridge connection. and it will use WiFi if your BB is on Wifi. Kind of like a chain of command
you initiate bridge connection
uses bluetooth to connect to phone
if BB is on WiFi, then the play book will get its internet fromt he BB, and use the BBs WiFi.
If not, the BB will provide the playbook with data via carrier BIS.

What he said ^^^
Except will it use the phones wifi as priority over the playbook's wifi? You're saying that if bridged it will not use the playbook wifi? I never have my phone wifi on so what happens in that case? Will the 3g take priority over PB wifi? This would be the slower option.
Welcome to Crackberry - enjoy the book!

It certainly uses the PB wifi before it looks for the phone wifi. I can tell when my PB wifi is off because google goes to a mobile site using my phone wifi.
If you have wifi available and turned on either on the PB or phone you won't be using 3g.
Am I missing something?
