After updating on my Bold 9700, the bridge icon is gone. I have no idea why. It's definitely installed and it's working fine. Just, no icon. Nothing is hidden. Any ideas????
I don't fully recall if it was the 9700 that had similar problems with a past bridge upgrade. If so, the fix was to download/install and older version available from rroyy.com
I would suggest deleting it, rebooting and trying the normal method again and it that fails, try the rroyy site.
The ONLY solution for the 9700 seems to be a downgrade back to the previous version. I had to delete 1.0.7.5 and go back to 1.0.7.4 from the rroyy.com site. Hope RIM fixes this!
Just curious, if it works fine, why do you need to see the icon?

I've also done a battery pull, but icon is still missing. I haven't received my playbook yet, will I need to "click/use" the icon for it to connect at least for the first time?

v1.0.7.4 is there. I had to make the downgrade last night. Not sure why you're not seeing it???

Okay, my bad. After clicking "Applications" there is a "OTA Archive (old versions)" link in red on the top that needs to be clicked in order to see the older versions.
