Does the Bold 9000 (Rogers) work with Bridge.

    Bold has OS 5.0.0900 installed.

If not the PB will be a brick for me.

Bridge requires a minimum of OS5 to work, so you "should" be ok

I am running that exact model with a PlayBook right now and it's great! I did download bridge from an OTA but I'm sure that it should work from app world now.

Thats Great, I have heard some conflicting reports so I was a bit apprehensive.

I had a torch but hated it and gave it to my daughter. The Bold 9000 is great for Emails that really is the only thing I use it for. Paired with the PB i think this could be a killer combo, And of course the new bold as soon as rogers get them.

I installed the new BBM 5.0.3.22 on my BB 9000 first, then the new Bridge 1.0.0.83. After both of those were installed, BBM shows up on my Playbook.

I have had nothing but a reliable experience with Bridge since getting the Playbook and pairing up with the Bold 9000 (although I haven't used the Browser much since I can tether). There's life in this old phone yet!

There is no problem to use the BB9000 with bridge and other functions as available. Must have OS5 installed (OS is not available).

Bridge BBM requires the latest official version 5 0 3 22 (or the beta)

I've been using the same hybrid OS for about 2 weeks now so I'm pretty aware of the memory and battery situation. Since installing Bridge .83, I've got a pretty bad memory leak. Reboot at 32mb app storage and within 2 hrs, I'll be down to less than 20mb. It usually takes 3 days to get that low. I've rebooted my phone 3 times today and it's still that bad.

bbm bridge app was open the whole time on the PB. rebooting again with the app closed, see if that makes a diff. maybe it gets better with pb 1.0.3

16mb after 10min and 1 email received (not opened).

14mb after 15min. this is insane!!

5mb after 30min. received a couple more emails and a group bbm. haven't opened anything.

I've had my Bridge connected 24/7 since getting my PlayBook and it's never had an issue, no mem leak, no batt drain. I've gone from 32mb to 13mb in just over 4 hrs now. OUCH!

I have Bold 9000, am on JSL v5 Hybrid, BBM 6 Beta and latest version of BB Bridge and latest software of Playbook. Firstly, everything has worked since day one I paired, except the BBM. When I opened the BBM in Playbook, after around 20 secs of green loading wheel, there was a popup message: "Blackberry Bridge plug-in for BBM does not exist, or your version of BBM does not support Blackberry Bridge." It had been like this for the last few days.

Last night I left both phone and Playbook bridged before bed, this morning (7 hours later) I opened up BBM, and voila it worked! I dont know what happened. I didn't do anything. Fyi, the battery drain seemed normal, 3-4% drop with browser open, wifi & bluetooth on and in bridge mode.

My guess is bold 9000 has very low memory left. Turning on Bridge really absorbs most of my available memory. After a battery pull, I normally have 30-35 MB. Right after I turn on the BB Bridge, I can't really use my phone for 5 to 10 mins, since it keeps loading. A moment later, I got only 5-10 MB free memory left. Leaving both overnight might settle them down a bit, hence this morning I managed to get the BBM on Playbook to work.

Just sharing my experience. PS: I haven't tried to disconnect and connect them again. I believe it won't work.

UPDATE: I closed the BBM in playbook and opened it up straight away. It still works.

Yep, same here. I've been on JSL's 5.0 hybrid for weeks now with no problems at all with leaking memory. Would start around 32MB after restart and 3-4 days after i'd stil be around 20 MB.

Installed the bridge app on my phone, suddenly in a matter of 10-12 horrs I go from 32 to 1 MB, which goes up to 4MB and comes back down. Unreal!
