I have been told by Blackberry support that I cannot send or receive media files (using Bluetooth) between my Playbook and my PC or phone and that the Bluetooth is only intended to be used to connect the Playbook to a speaker. Can anyone confirm this please?

Well, I would say that's partially right.

You can not send files back and forth over BT. Use Wifi or USB.

BT is *also* used for the Bridge App if you have a BB phone as well.
