Every since I updated to PlayBook OS 2.1 and Bridge 2.1, my 9900's battery life has gone from 2.2% per hour drain to 4+% per hour drain. With the new "Bridge data through Wi-Fi" in Bridge 2.1, my data arrows are running non-stop. I suspect this has to do with Bridge 2.1, not OS 2.1

I created this poll to ask the simple question (regardless of which phone you have), did your *phone* battery life improve, get worse, or stay the same *since* the Bridge and OS 2.1 update?

It's running so much better, it's smoother and the browser is quicker and my battery seems to be longer on my 9930.

I had a similar issue on my 9780 after installing Bridge 2.1 and the battery consumption increased to about 5% per hour when WiFi and Bluetooth were switched off.
After several restarts of my 9780, it is back to normal.

When I'm bridge browsing steadily for any length of time, my battery drain is something in the area of 15-18% per hour. Has been like that as long as I've had the 9900 and hasn't changed with 2.1. I just got a Mugen 1500mah battery, so that drain rate has dropped to 12-15%. But I have no other way to browse when I'm away from home unless I want to pay an extra $25 a month for tethering, so it's tolerable.

My best yardstick is my work PB since I use it regularly every day performing roughly the same tasks and it's always on wifi and most of the time bridged. After the update it appears to be a little better but I need to monitor it a little more with BatteryGuru to get a better average. My personal PB is a little harder to judge since the use and tasks performed are very irregular, but so far I'd say about the same. No noticeable change in my 9930 battery life after the bridge update. It's always gotten me through a long workday with plenty left over.

FWIW after the initial update I had some weird anomalies popping up but after 2 or 3 hard resets everything smoothed out.

Thanks. I feel for myself. I really does affect the user experience when you're always thinking about running out of juice.

My 9930 battery is significantly worse when bridged. I think it's because of my .755 update on my phone. Anyone else have this issue. When not on bridge i have awesome battery life.
