I think it was just bad info about the bridge update for bb10 dev phones. people got their hopes up because they want updates so bad

I actually saw it. I used my PC with Firefox and went to BlackBerry World and logged in. Then I searched for Bridge and it came up as 3.0.9.6. So I reset my 9810's AppWorld and searched for Bridge, but it still just came up as the old one.
Now I don't want the official one as I'm on AT&T, so I'm waiting until rroyy has it up for grabs.

unless.... just for a blackberry 10 device to be connected to the playbook, they had to update bb bridge in order for it to be compatible.. regardless of what os the playbook is running... previous bridge apps were only on the legacy os'... blackberry bridge 3.0 could just be a means for both the legacy os's and the new bb10 devices to connect to the plybook...

does not necassarily mean a bb10 playbook update,., i have just disappointed myself with this possibility. i am goin to sleep

That's exactly what it'll be. Don't expect to see a PlayBook BB10 update for some time. They've got more important things to do right now.

New update to BB World in Beta Zone...could this be a precursor and what RIM sorry BB, lol...is this what they needed to release before being able to update BB Bridge? Maybe they needed the updated BB World to make the newest update work?

It shows up on my z10 as version 3.0.9.6 so I'm guessing it's just for BB10 at the moment. They really need to differentiate between OS7 and BB10 on the desktop so we don't get confused!

Just received a Blackberry 10 FAQs pdf from Vodafone UK (we are a reseller) and it states in there that BB10 won't bridge to Playbook until playbook has the BB10 update

Can I use the BB10 phone to bridge with my Playbook?
Not yet, BB10 will be able to bridge when the Playbook OS is upgraded to BB10, RIM have not provided a date for this yet.

Yes, but can't you at least use the Z10 as a hotspot to provide internet connection to playbook when away from wifi at home??
