update is available in BB world now for me (Rogers in Kitchener), update description specifically says BBM reincluded again on Playbook when bridged

Thank you BlackBerry! Bringing back Bridge functions goes a long way toward good will with the BlackBerry faithful. Bridge is brilliant.

The main reason I got a PlayBook was because I had a BlackBerry and could bridge it . Not having it on my Z10 was a major disappointment, almost didn't upgrade because of lack of bridge.

Well that will work great for my one BBM friend....my wife! Still not enough for me to upgrade to BB10. Keep trying BlackBerry..... WE WANT FULL BRIDGE BACK!!!

sadly still so much missing. No access to texting, on phone email or PIM apps. This does not give feature parity to v2 bridge still. I think this may just have been done to align with the release of BBM to other platforms coming over this weekend.

That's all they gave was bridge support for BBM... BBRY is really digressed to No.1 slot on the SH!T LIST. Starting to wonder if my time and money is just a waste.

Can someone confirm if the calendar on the playbook would update if I put a new event in the calendar on the z10 before the bridge update.

I just tried it after updating bridge and it worked.

Was it like that before the bridge update?

Really odd. I installed the new bridge update. Everything worked great. BUT it SEEMS to have broken WIFI on the PB. Yup you read that right. With bridge activated I am able to connect to my phone and surf , remote control, bbm works as it should, etc. but if I disable the bridge function and shut down bluetooth and then try to connect back to WIFI on the PB it just sits there trying to get IP ADDRESS. Eventually it just gives me an error message about not being able to connect. Other devices work fine - Q10 works, Ipad works, notebook works. PB no worky. I've rebooted twice. RESET twice. Now I am going to do a full wipe and reload to see if that brings back wifi. if it does then new bridge = fail for me anyway. Like I said , odd. Anyone else ?
