Mine works fine with my Playbook. But I'm needing a new device real soon. I think the 9650 is lacking enough ram to keep things going.
But the times I've tried the Bridge feature, it worked ok. Sprint service here is good, but really slow. So if you are on Sprint, expect your speed to be like the Pony Express.
I guess OS5 up to OS7 will support BB Bridge, they all can currently do the same thing. However in PB OS2.0 everything might change, RIM wil probably try to boost sales on OS7 devices and make it an ''OS7 exclusive'' to control your PB with your Phone (these thoughts came to me when they shown us the ''bezel swipes'' on your touchscreen, BB6 phones doesn't have touch screen and there you go)
If this assumption is all true.. I'm pretty much boned with my 9780.....
YES, I have a Bold 9650 running OS6.0.0.706 bridged to my PlayBook with no problems at all, works great. I've had the opportunity to use the bridge feature over the holidays on a constant basis(5 days straight with no wifi) and the two together worked flawless
