does anyone know when this keyboard will be available? ive seen it demo'd in some videos most recently on Kevins trip to Rim when he did a piece on the police vehicle geared with the PlayBook and keyboard....
just a thought, if you're starting to feel the need for physical keyboard, perhaps you need laptop or netbook that time.. not for anything else, but everytime I see people using physical keyboard in tablets, I always wonder why not use device design for that particular task?... again, it just a thought...
@blogan3, that keyboard looks sweet but its contoured for the I-Pad, i dont think i would be able to angle the PlayBook on that and also it would look funny because the keyboard would be bigger than the PlayBook...
@joshua_sx1, i am a bible class teacher and create all my lessons on the PlayBook using Word2go hence the need for the physical keyboard, it allows me to prop up the PlayBook for easy viewing while viewing the whole screen where with the PlayBook keyboard i only see half the screen. once the lesson is done i than take the ultra portable PlayBook to my class and give the lesson off the PlayBook. i fried the motherboard on my laptop in March so i needed a replacement and chose the PlayBook, i do not regret this decision. the PlayBook has delivered and than some.....

If this is the one that fits into a PB case I have been waiting for it to come on the market also. Does anyone know who will be making it? I have been holding off buying a case just so I can get this one when it is available.
@ittles, yep this is the one i'm waiting for. it was posted in a video by Crackberry Kevin.
it's definately a win win for me and with rumors of an upgraded Doc2go with the OS2.0 update i can only hope and dream that we will have a much more functional docs2go.
The rumours about being able to use my 9900 keyboard with my playbook has me excited. Definately a good option for portability.
I'd like this functionality, although at this point I'm not sure whether to wait for this or just buy something, I don't hold out many hopes on anything coming from RIM quickly.

Thanks for the YT link, its been a while since I looked at it. No doubt, that would be a great addition, anyone know where Kevin got it from?
Any bluetooth keyboard will do the job. However, the Microsoft 6000 is very light, attractive and complete for ~50$. You may also find bargains on the "designed for the TouchPad" HP bluetooth keyboard (~30$). It works okay, but doesn't have a front-delete key which could prove annoying. Note that, at this point, auto repeat is not supported for arrows, delete or backspace. Hopefully RIM is working on it for OS 1.0.8
By the way, if you have access to any wi-fi connected computer, you can work on that computer, save your document in .doc and drag the file to the playbook, just like that, without even pulling your playbook out of your bag. Bluetooth keyboard are somewhat laggy, so that solution might be of interest to you.
