Hi. So, waiting for my Playbook which should arrive any day. The ancitipation is killing me!!!
Had a question for you PB users. How well does the BIS service work? I was looking into buying a MiFi device to allow me to have wifi access all the time, but if the BIS service works pretty well I will wait and see before doing it. What are people's experience in using the PB via the blackberry internet capability?
If you have the funds to pay for the monthly MIFI bill, do it. With the Bridged internet access you can only use the Bridge Browser....no other app outside of the Bridged apps can access data. So I'd rather pay for a tethering option or even better, the MIFI route.
To get native BIS on the playbook you'll need a 3g or 4g one and another data plan, doesn't make much sense when you all ready have a data plan for your phone and can use bridge. Not sure how RIM is going to work that when they come out with the 3g/4g models.

huh? The playbook doesnt currently connect to the BIS. The options are either wifi or blackberry bridge.
Don't forget that you can tether to any phone including a BB and then run the default browser. I do this way more then bridge. All bookmarks, web-mail etc.
