By running an autoloader on it, you're basically risking bricking it and closing all other options (ie. if it's a dev device, you'd convert it back to a production device, leaving you unable to do anything 'special') -- this is pretty terrible advice if we want to figure out what exactly it is in terms of hardware & try to get something running on it.

Yeah definitely don't run an autoloader on it. You have to be careful about what you load on devices because the most recent firmwares have blacklists that prevent earlier versions being run on it. Also, the latest version may blacklist or just not run on this device.

OP would you be able to take some photos with better lighting, preferably day light?

It's just that you're photographing something that's predominantly black in semi-darkness, hard to make out any details.

Awesome! Thanks for contributing to uncovering this hidden side of the PlayBook. Am well excited for what night cone of it. This is awesome.

Am particularly interested in what kind of hardware is in these 10inches and what if any OS version is on them.

This might give us all an insight into what blackberry 's plans were for the PlayBook had it only sold better.
