    I have a 9930 and the speaker phone is great. My girlfriends son also got a 9930 and he specifically commented on how loud the speakerphone was. I guess you should test it right away and get a new one if necessary.

    I think OS7.1 works well on both of them, some apps might be a problem for some people.
