    Hi folks,

    Before purchase a new TV, what needs for using/running playbook?
    i.e HDMI ver 1.4

    Below items if require or not,

    1) 1080p? (720p no problem?)
    2) DLNA certified tv?
    3) internet tv worth?
    4) wifi tv ? (without HDMI cable)
    5) USB playback (video,pics,music)
    6) PIP
    7) hz rate? (120 or 60)?
    8) other suggestion?

    DNLA is about the only one that would seriously effect the Playbook, and the Playbook hasn't even added DNLA ability yet. Although many if us assume it will come soon, it has the ability and RIM hinted at it.

    Refresh rate means nothing to the Playbook. I'm not sure you can even use USB from a Playbook to a TV right now. You can use HDMI for pretty much anything you'd use USB for anyways. Someone else will have to help with any Network abilities between the 2. I think you still need a PC/server involved for any of that stuff.

    DNLA has a future, regardless of the Playbook. Get it if you have a chance. Most new TV's should have it.
