I care what happen to BlackBerry. If BlackBerry folds, you have basically two OS's to use and I don't like the clunky Android OS and can't stand Apple as a company. So for people like me it hard to take the direction that BlackBerry is taking. If there is no more BlackBerry I will probably be going back to a dumb phone.

If there's no blackberry, I will just have to visit people. That will be real sad. I prefer them virtually.

Development for the Playbook has nearly stopped.

One of the things that lured me into the playbook, was the price and the hardware specs. I guess I'm not too bothered by using something on a daily basis that is considered "obsolete" by someone else. While I've only had my playbook for about two months I have been very happy with it. I use all Apple products in the school that I teach in and to be honest, I find the Playbook a nice break from the "i-" world. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on Apple products as I use all platforms between my job and homelife (including Linux), but I've been finding more and more uses, as well as apps for the Playbook. If my iPad wasn't provided by my school district I would be able to function just fine with my Playbook. Honestly, where else are you going to find a 32GB capacity tablet for less than $200? I paid $177 delivered and have been very happy. As for BB10, if it makes it, great. If not, oh well I guess that is BB's loss for helping millions of us users stay on their platform and DRM. Great post and while yeah, you seem to get a lot of angry posts as well as posts about software and hardware issues, the masses really are speaking so maybe our voices will be heard. Great post, man!

I just began messing with my PlayBook again since my phone upgrade. I am curious as to how the build would be for the PlayBook but am not that hardcover up for it to come. My thing is I don't want to see it canceled. I was one of the first to get one. I just want the update for the mere principal that a promise was made. Plenty of promises were broken by the old ceo's. Thor has been great but my loyalty rests on his word being kept. Other than that my play book does what it was made for.

but isn't it that the point......Its a phone....... a smart phone is only as smart as the person using it...and if you're going to try and cram everything everyone wants in it....then eventually everyone will forget what it was designed to do in the first place....make / receive a phone call....


Here's an idea why doesn't BBRY get a z10....strip out the phone bits, make a phone out of that....and use the leftover bits to make a smart dohickey for everyone who has 'apple envy'...and then somehow combine the two.....'bridge if you will' (see how i did that ...ironic...i know...sometimes i surprise myself)...

That would be a brilliant idea....now if only we could get someone to do it.....I think i may patent that...hmmm it's prob already patented.

on this forum, no real news since months, and rehashed stories
and some request t for help when to PB acts up
my WIFI gets slower by the day, hard to stream life TV
I have a 50/50 chance to down load a pdf, doc or excel file
my Evernote does not open most of the time
Gallery hardly opens

most work when I reboot, and I have to do that 5 times a day
try to go to a meeting with your notes on the PB

the bridge still works, so I use outlook notes and task

I am looking for the Nokia 925 when it becomes available and a MS surface
than install office 365 on my laptop
I guess it will pay to stay with one OS like windows - cell - tablet - Laptop or Desktop

Hreiner, you have to reboot your PB five times a day? That is depressing. I haven't needed to reboot my PB for months. Clean out your PB. Wipe and restore. I do every 6 months. Keeps me sane. I think. Oh well, thanks for sticking to the thread topic.

Well it can hardly be said that I'm a fanboy but I have mmmmmmmm let's just say several pb's. The one I'm using at the moment was purchased on day one of their release and is working perfectly. No different in fact than the ones I bought a last week. Listen to eddie_berry and follow his advice. I don't do a reset regularly because it's a pain but if ever my pb starts to behave in anyway other than I have been used to in two years I do reset it. Hey presto its back to normal. Don't ask me why we have to but I don't make the rules, I just follow them.
