So, it's functionality was on the PlayBook all along...the bridge app just needed to be finalized for it...
So technically, PlayBook was BBM ready from the get go...now let's hear all the nay-sayers complain that BBM is reliant on Bridge and is not device independent.
Yes my playbook battery is really low so haven't put up screenshot. The one who first noticed it was another member on here (agault) Guys I am running the latest BBM 6.0.0.73 from beta zone.. Don't know if that makes a difference..
Interesting. Tried Alt RST x2 and despite refreshing, rebooting etc still not seeing it on Sprint 9650 in app world.... Will keep trying. Thanks for the heads up!
The new Blackberry Bridge updated today is version 1.0.0.83.
While I checked the Bridge app on my phone for updates and AppWorld on my phone for updates, I could not find any. I went into AppWorld on the PC and once I logged in, the update was there. I had to update my AppWorld Firefox plugin but once that was done, it upgraded Blackberry Bridge on my phone and rebooted it. All is well.
Edit: Since I have a BBM beta version 6.0.0.73 from BetaZone, it works fine for me but those who don't have this need to download the latest BBM from AppWorld.
The latest public BBM version has been updated today and is version 5.0.3.22.
I noticed that if I was not logged in, AppWorld showed me an old version (5.0.2.12). Once I logged in and chose my phone as a a device, it showed me the latest version. Please follow the same steps above to download and install it.
I updated bridge to 1.0.0.83, restarted both devices and re paired the bridge. I still don't have BBM.
For those who now have BBM on their PB, what version of BBM are you running? Also, when you search for an update from within the bridge app (on your phone) do you get a message saying:
The Bridge application is up to date, but in order for it to work correctly, the BBM application on your device needs to be upgraded.
I am running BBM version 5.0.2.12, and there are no updates for that available.
