Its fake. This settings menu in BB10 doesn't look like the settings menu in PBOS. That is clearly from the PBOS.

I don't see why they would put the BB10 settings menu on the PB... There's nothing wrong with it the way it is, so why change it?

Before people could only run 10.0.6 on the PB. Anything higher won't run because it is when the UI was changed and the resolution for PB was dropped. It could be the real deal.

The BBM images look convincing. Was that possible with the beta build on PlayBook?

Pretty sure he's running a Dev Alpha OS before it got the BlackBerry 10 UI.

It's not fake though, that I can tell you.

Yeah, its legit guys. That's my PlayBook. I'll be posting more pics and a review later. For now, here's the BB10 Settings screen that everyone has been whining about.

It's not that easy. You can't just load the OS onto it. It requires some workarounds. I'll release more info later when I'm finished testing functionality.

What do you use to install it? CFP?

Nope, CFP is not required. I'm using DingleBerry to send it, but like I said, it's not that easy. If anyone else tries sending this OS via DingleBerry they will absolutely softbrick their PlayBook, without the workaround. I'll be releasing more info soon.

Again: DO NOT try this. (yet)

HEAVILY EDITED- Kris Simundson has pictures of this running on a playbook...based on that and the pictures in the link from op I believe it is working. I'm not sure that some who claim they have this version running on the PlayBook they own are really running it because what they show as proof does not match the two other source pics. I will also reference a post that said person made asking how to get back to 2.1 from 10.0.6...
"Desktop Manager fails during the software extraction phase, as does Link and blackberry.com/updates . I haven't been able to load 2.1 for about 4 or 5 months now.

EDIT- not so skeptical now, but, I will leave the post up for reference
