Just a quick question, is it possible to bridge a bold with the playbook over wifi as opposed to Bluetooth so I get extended range? If this a real option, I never see it when turning bridge on despite both the playbook and phone have the latest version of bridge.

Yes, Bridge works over wifi and it is essentially automatic, however I find that on some routers Bridge works better if I disable either the wifi or the wireless network. Just depends. My home router is a Netgear and Bridge seems to be sluggish when I have both wifi and the wireless network enabled.

You have to keep the bluetooth connection for the wifi bridge portion to work. Once the bluetooth connection is lost, bridge will not work. So as far as the extended range, no. I'm not exactly sure what info goes over wifi.
