I just watched about 45min to 1hr of Youtube over wifi and the battery went down to 65%. BT and bridge was turned off.

That seems pretty short to me but I'm not sure. This can't possibly be normal performance can it?

How many times has the battery been recharged and have you ever let it drain to 0% so it automatically shutdown and then recharged it to 100% before using it? The Battery Guru applications is handy for monitoring battery charge, battery health, number of recharges, and a few other metrics.

Its only been recharged 2 times as it is new. I let it go down to ~ 10% before recharging.

I thought it hurt these batteries to let them go to right to zero?

Is there a general rule of thumb on how long they will last i.e. like talk time statistics for a phone?

It doesn't hurt to do it once in awhile. To reset the battery % it needs to be done. When I first got mine months ago it would run for hours on 0% so I did this and it is a lot more accurate now.
