Im trying to extend the use of my playbook by exploring the idea of sideloading android apps but unfortunately the USB port of my playbook has broke.

So, I was wondering is there anyway for me to install sidebar on my playbook without plugging it into my PC?

    Thanks.

Yes. Wirelessly (over LAN) using either DDPB or the Chrome Playbook extension.

If you have a BB10 device you can also use barinstall and intall bars using your phone over wifi.

Get the chrome playbook extension (need a computer with chrome browser). When you put the playbook into developer mode, you get two addresses, one starts with 161.X, and the other likely with 192.X. You can connect over wifi to the 192.X address and sideload that way. My USB port works fine on the PB, but I still prefer to just do things over the Wifi. Simple, no wires, and works just as well as over USB; plus I don't have to install the Blackberry Link/Desktop Manager software.
