Kinda gave up on it a few months ago when it started acting up and gave way to a new Samsung tab S2. It was great for years till recently.

Recently got a router that lets you plug in a USB device and share its media across the network (DLNA). Kalemsoft on the PB is by far my favourite way of accessing that stuff. Love using it for media playback in general.

I've started toying with Bridge too (Q10 to PB). Very nice. PB still has a lot of utility. The only thing I don't like to do with it is surf the web.

Amazing speakers on the PlayBook. Same quality as on the Passport, IMO.

I use mind pretty much daily to watch tv shows and movies and occasionally using the browser.
Any particular apps that are best with watching TV shows on the PB?

I use it to watch movies when I travel without a laptop. I have 64GB version, so it can hold enough movies for my break. Occasionally plays games like asphalt (career 94% ), Plants vs Zombies (2-8 in adventure), Kiwi Wonders, Jetpack Joyride, Sector Strike etc. when I get bored. Reads books sometimes. The only problem is the battery which stays hardly for two days on a full recharge even if not used at all.

Tip: when not using it, instead of turning it off, put it in Airplane Mode. But your battery is now 5 years old so it must be getting tired by now.

Bought a 64GB playbook today for £30. It is in mint condition and when I got back home I looked up on amazon and it's £110. Win!

Although standard browser is weak.. downloaded a 3rd party browser and now al works fine

    Hi,

Which browser did you go for?

I am thinking of upgrading too but there's a few options out there...

    Thanks in advance.

Love my first one - 32GB gently used and recently got great deal in brand new 64GB PB.

Playbook's great - love the size, very portable and sturdy.

Great e-reader. I'm accustomed to D-SLR camera but willing to learn to handle PB...

Also hav Passport Silver Edition - grreat phone and super mini-computer!

That's an excellent tip.. I have mine sat in the dock all the time charging (I switch it off at the switch most days) but putting it in flight mode is a great idea for when the power is off and its just discharging! Just turned it on in mine!

I use mine mostly for watching videos and responding to texts at work since Blend doesn't always work well on the enterprise network.

Android? No thanks. Just give me BB10 and CP/M and I'm a happy man.

Maxthon Browser is great for playing YouTube videos.. i have also installed Dolphin Browser & Origami Browser. However the latter has been crashing when i load up certain websites like Gumtree.
