I have a 16gig Playbook but recently got a new 64gig with the BB Mini Keyboard + convertible case so this will become my laptop, shall sell my 16gig. After installing Google Chrome on my Imac, I got the Playbook App Manager extension from the Google Store, am now converting many APK files to .BAR files, will install + check them out, although I am quite happy with my Playbook apps so my new 64gig Playbook will become an even more important utility for my regular tasks.

I have had the PlayBook for years, and gradually stopped using it because I began using my MacBook instead. I recently just got my first BlackBerry smartphone (Q10), so I might just power up my old friend and use the bridge...

I still have and use my 64 GB Playbook. However, it mostly a media player for long flights and I use Bridge to connect to my 9800 (Yes. it's still 2012 for me). Bridge is mostly for txt messages. My PB sits near my nightstand while my Torch sleeps in the charging cradle on my desk.

Of the two, I think my Torch will go first due to lack of apps, support and just plain wear. Once it does (likely to be replace by an Android device), it may not be long after until lights out for the PB.

Not anymore since I have the Z30. It's not bad for media player and the browser sucks. It's also too heavy for ebook reader. I use Nook simple touch for that. Sadly it's now lying unused in a box below my desk.

Yep. Have two 64gb versions and the grandkids (and I) Play Artifex Mundi challenge games on them all the time. Battery is still great and they both run smoothly

You can watch the newest movies and tv series through http://www.rainierland.ws/ . Check it out on your device, laptop or pc. Very good site and does not require an account. There are other online movie/tv sites as well if you do a search, but Ranierland is my favorite.

Nope. It doesn't work. Not even on my Z30. But Netflix works on my Z30, though. Flawlessly.

Hmnn--don' t know what to tell you other than I am watching Mr.Robot right now on my Playbook (season 2 episode 5) and it is working beautifully. I have noticed, though, that some of the newest movies near the top of the list are not opening for some reason. Maybe they are not completely loaded into their servers etc. But it's working great for me. Oh also I just tried the newest Jason Bourne and it is a lousy cam quality so it looks like Ranierland has lowered their standards. Never used to be like that!

A recent change in our home Internet situation has us using Playbooks bridged to our Q10 and Z10 as our primary (only) computing devices. As no reinforcements are coming from any ISPS - and since I can't find an android/iOS replacement for the bridge this will continue indefinitely.

    Anyone help me re bluetooth?

Up until now my classic and playbook have enjoyed a mutually comfortable relationship. I turn bluetooth on, on my classic, and bluetooth auto engages on my playbook (already set up on both phone and playbook).

Now my playbook engages with the classic bluetooth for maybe 1 second and then my classic informs me that it can't connect.

So, what's going on? I've deleted the existing bluetooth 'saved' info on both devices, and re-booted both devices to no avail. (then started the bluetooth process again)

The classic still operates in bluetooth mode perfectly with my 9700.

Have to wonder if there is a problem with the bluetooth radio. Can either device successfully maintain bluetooth connections with other bluetooth devices like a keyboard or speaker or does it lose connections with them as well?

Ol_Mil, thank you for responding . I replied on CB not long after you posted, but somehow the CB connection got lost and so my reply never made it through the ether, and that's happened a few times over the last couple of weeks.

Yesterday afternoon I tried again (in sheer frustration) to see if I could sort out the Classic/playbook bt connection - and this time I decided to connect my Classic to my radio bt first, played some music out of the radio's speakers - then I successfully bt connected my (no sim in) 9700 to my playbook. At that point I again tried my Classic and it successfully joined with the playbook.

Who knows what goes on in the minds of bluetooth, the Classic and playbook, eh!!
