It seems that Techno Buffalo on the Revision3 site now has a review of os2.
    Short but sweet.

Oh my God I can't believe the playbook never had native PIM or email to start with. You guys have been soooooo patient.
The majority of us use Blackberry Bridge so native PIM is not a major issue. Although it will be a welcomed addition.

No need to be patient. Some of us have been rocking our PBs via Bridge.

It helps that we (some) researched our purchase and knew it didn't beforehand.

It's not like we couldn't get mail and PIM. Besides the Bridge functionality providing all of that from my BB (not to mention free connectivity), in the rare instances I didn't have it nearby, I use GMail and OWA, just like I use on my laptop or any other PC.

no need to answer my question about Bridge.

so right now in order for you guys to access PIM, you need to pull out your Blackberry phones, turn on bluetooth, and pair it with the Playbook- correct? LOL.

Amazing. What amazes me more is that people actually still use Blackberry phones.
No, I hardly ever need to pull out my BB. The Bridge connection is there all the time. An email comes in, I read it on the PlayBook. It couldn't be simpler.

What's more amazing is that you went to the trouble to actually register for this site when you don't seem interested in what it is about.

I guess since the only good news coming out of CES is from RIM, it's making certain factions nervous.

errr, what youre suggesting is like saying one needs to turn their phone on everytime they want to make a call.

i for one leave my bluetooth running on my phone. so when i want to connect to say my gmail,i just hit my gmail icon on my playbook.

youre either simple minded, or a troll. or both.

Ready or not, just release the freaking thing already (OS2). Everyone I know has the Beta running......... Or give us the choice if we want to upgrade to OS2, with a disclaimer (May Have bugs or whatever).

Welcome to the internet, where everyone expects betas to work perfectly. If RIM released a beta of OS2 every tech site would review it and say "OS2 is crap, the PlayBook still sucks". Doesn't matter how great the final version is, the entire internet would simply have seen "OS2 = crap" and that'd be the end of it. Also, whenever RIM does release something early, even here on CB the message boards fill up with people going "RIM needs to learn how to polish things like Apple".

i agree with taylor...early on before the pb was released, everyone was like release it who cares if its buggy. when released without pim then ppl was like how could rim release an umfinished product blah blah blah. my hope for os2...release it when ready.
