have you left it plugged in to a charger over night?
Why would that make a difference?
hmm...we own 3 & havn't had an issue with any of them
Its called sarcasm..:)
This is my second go around with this issue. Thanks but I dont need any suggestions. You can read all my posts in the past about my last one. I will call them in the morning and get this one shipped off like the last one. Just venting. RIM has some serious problems.
My PB work just fine with no issues.
I had a similar issue before .. my PB was dead for over a month so I called customer support (they were really helpful). they asked me to plug it to an outlet and press the volume up and volume down buttons at the same time which resulted in my PB turning on and working great ever after.
Love my playbook!
Well,......... I was gonna say how I just went through this and from what you're describing.. that there wasn't really anything wrong with even the first playbook you sent back and I was gonna explain to you the fail safe RIM has that prevents the charge from getting too low but there is a software bug that prevents the pb from "waking up" when it gets in that mode, which is easily solved by Stack charging to wake the pb back up and I was gonna tell you how I was pissed too! But you should remain calm and the pb will come back :) but....... Nevermind
stack charging explain cause my playbook is dead.
The og charger broke so i only have the doc and my regular bb phone charger :(
This is a good thread on the info your looking for, only a couple of pages but a lot of info.

Bought mine from the first week they were released and have never had an issue. Sorry for your troubles, but thanks for the laugh this morning when i saw "Palybook". :) Good luck!
I have had a similar issue. The battery died completely and it wouldn't charge or boot. Stack charging also did nothing for me, so I connected it to the comp and it gave me the option to debrick, that worked great. I had to keep reconnecting it so it would temporarily try to boot, but in the end it worked great. I left it on the standard charger for about an hour after and only had 1% battery, shows how dead it was.
One thing that has not been fully explored is whether the DOCK or OTHER Rapid charger can be used for Stack Charging. And I'm not sure that a bbphone charger can do it either. I guess you can try.
While the original pb charger is covered by warranty, I've read that rim is sending folks the rapid charger as a replacement.
You might call rim and see if the dock can be used for Stack Charging or even a bbphone charger.
will do thanks
according to your foot note I noticed
you own a 64GB advice. that makes you
the emperor for us - the 16gb majority
plebs.
ever considered whether a certain
64GB NAND line maybe faulty?

Damian
ps
I know you don't care and get upset if my question
is already answered in one of your previous
posts on that matter.
but be honest mate - nobody in a forum fancies to
poke his nose into other peoples sorrows more than
necessary, i.e. beyond the recent thread better the
recent page ;)
