Am I the only one?
After listening to music for long periods of time, my free memory goes low and doesn't recover even when I close the music player. This then causes other apps to constantly close because there isn't enough memory. That will be very annoying if carried over into BB10. Does anyone know a solution?

Interesting observation. I guess I never looked for don't play enough music.
Let's see if others have experienced this, too.

sirfly2fly , which OS are you on? I was also experiencing somethign similar with pacemaker, but since upgrading to the beta I've yet to have it happen.. so I think its something they are aware of and are working to fix.

Not even once this has happened to me and I'm on 2.0.1.668

The music app has been a memory hog since day one. Most of the 2.1 betas have better memory management that the official versions and I know for a fact .668 have it working right.
We can hope either one of those is released soon.

Play music all the time, never happened using 2.0.1.688. However, since upgrade music gateway doesn't work...works on only 9930.:(

I have 2.0.1.668 and it was happening before I even upgraded to this. After hours of listening to music its averages around 230mb, but does not go back above 300mb. and when I say ours I mean like at least 4+ hrs

There are now apps that can grab memory and then once finished, restore the memory. Both are intended to help recover memory when the Android player stalls but might work for this aspect.
