    Yes! This includes ALL owners, especially new owners.

    Do yourself a favour and vote for the Playbook. Getting XDA exposure and developer support would only improve the usability of the Playbook.

    XDA are devoted to rooting devices so I cannot see how this would help the BlackBerry PlayBook.

    True but XDA also have developers writing apps and provide alternate ways of work around when the original software is not adequate. My Infuse is rooted running stock software but with certain functions frozen. This allows me to use Mobil Hotspot for free.
    I for one would like to have more choices.

    I looked at that site a while back when the first thread came up and couldn't see how it related to playbook, since the Playbook is not an HTC product or does it run any of the OSs on that site.. Are these developers rooters or do they actually develop software that we can use, using the available tools. With the tool sets available to developers, I really don't see the need for rooting, just a need for good developers.
