IMO, i doubt it will take away from clarity, from my own experience, i got a 3 pack of cheap ones for like a $1 for my wifes ipad and you can't even tell they are there, the only thing i'd recommend maybe is make sure you get the "clear" ones rather than anti glare, again this is just my experience
