I was just playing around last night, and I typed file:// into my playbook browser's 'address' prompt.
It came back with what looked like the full root filesystem of the playbook!
I didn't have much time to experiment, and it seemed like a lot of it was locked down, but if anyone want to try it, if nothing else, it is kind of interesting in a geeky sort of way...

If anyone know of anything cool or useful that can be acomplished from this, please let this thread know.

Not much I'm afraid, QNX is sandboxed to prevent users from messing around with system directories. QNX is POSIX compliant so it exposes a Unix-like filesystem similar to Android or Meego.

Well, the pb Browser can open a variety of files, so using the file:// and appending folder and file info to it can directly open certain types of files and you can create bookmarks and homepage bookmarks to those entries - allowing a kind of shortcut to jpg's, and txt files, etc.
