9900 + Playbook = WIN
Hi guys,
I have decided to share a bit my own exprerience with BB products and especially Playbook.
I've been using quite a few devices like Symbian Series 80 -> Belle, Maemo, Meego, Android phones and tablets, Windows phones and tablets.
I used also Playbook and BB Q5 which is the best OS I've seen before.
And now I ended up buying 9900, activating BIS for the first time in my life and replacing Nexus 7 tablet with the Playbook.
And you know what - that's the best solution for day-to-day usage because of the Bridge uniqueness. OK, there is no Skype, but I can live without that.
Although PB is a bit heavy and sometimes interface is laggy - I still can read sms and emails. PB bridged is sh*t, clearly. I wish one day there will be a way to port Bridge to Android or something like that. But apparently no one hasn't build solution like that yet.
SO now I'm thinking to buy a couple more Playbooks as you can get 64gb version for peanuts, like a 60 quid = 1 pound for 1 gig :-)
You can't really find video / audio player with 64gb on board for this money - even discounting it's main features like Bridge.

PlayBook is a great Video Player - if you have your files in the right format. But yeah mine is basically just a Disney Movie Player for the Grandkids. They were using it for games, but now everyone has iPads and the game market for the PlayBook just doesn't compare.
Bridge.... WAS A GREAT IDEA! And with a 9900 or any other BBOS device it was very useful. It would be great if that became a more common feature between tablets and phones. With most plans these days being based on KB, MB or GB... don't see the issue of sharing. Just kill are throttle those unlimited plans....

Frankly, the Playbook is a bit outdated. Still I do remember all that hassle trying to get internet access from 9900 on Nexus 7 thorugh the mobile hotspot. And on other hand Playbook is picking up the phone as soon as Bluetooth switched on.
There is a lot of different small pieces that beats the new devices user journeys.
I wish we are all get at some point Playbook reincarnated in BB10 environment!

I could not have agreed more on this combo. I requested a Q10 from my IT department and IT sent me a relative new 9900. It seems that someone use it for a while and returned it. I almost send the 9900 back until I remember that I have a 64Gb Playbook sitting at home. IT set up my 9900 and syn it with my Outlook on my laptop. I updated the Blackberry World on the 9900 and set up the bridge. Once the bridge was set up, I use my PB to access my Office mail. This is so much better than using the phone as reading attachments like PDF or spreadsheet on 9900 is almost impossible. I am going vacation soon and I do not want to lug a company laptop with me. Yes the PB is heavy in today’s standard but it is still smaller and lighter than the company laptop.

The best combo I have found with the PlayBook is using my 9860 or Z10, with all emails set up on PlayBook, and using the Bluetooth Keyboard convertible case. This combination helps in my search of a new career

9900+playbook was the best 3 years ago.

I was always a 9810 man, personally.
I'm happy that one of the features new in 10.3 is that I can use Bridge with my Q10 and have Internet access to my PlayBook.

My second 64 GB PlayBook was just delivered to my doorstep! I re-purposed my first one as a "family tablet" with games, educational apps, and movies for my 7-year-old son.
After trying a variety of different phones including an iPhone 5, Z30, Q10, and Lumia 822, I've decided the Bold 9930 is the only smartphone I want.
And why not use the tablet that was designed specifically to supplement and link with legacy BB phones? Rather than reclaim the "family tablet", I decided to spend the considerable sum of $130 on a second PlayBook. :)
I'm charging it now (the battery was completely dead - I guess sitting on a warehouse shelf for 3 years will do that) and I'm looking forward to setting it up and putting it to good use!

Q10 with playbook works great as well, except it's only text messages and bbm :) works good enough for me though!

9900 with playbook was my favorite combo too!
9700 was second, 9800 3rd! Q10 4th, z10 5th.
Bridge had so much more power with the non bb10 device
