This past Sunday's advertisement has the 64 GB version of the PlayBook advertised for $199. This appears to be in error since that's the 32 GB price, but since it's a printed ad and their online version has yet to be updated, it might be arguable that you should be able to purchase it for that price. They also have 16 GB models on sale for $169 which looks legit. The ad I witnessed is from the Chicago area.

I see this as an opportunity to upgrade my 16 GB model. You can, too. I run out of space quickly while traveling, so I'm taking this opportunity to max out the platform.

I grabbed one from the local Office Depot for $199 (show $249 online). I asked the rep why the price reduction and he said it was to clear out store inventory. In looking at other strores in my area, most have only 1 or 2 in stock...so this seems to make sense that they aren't going to carry the 64 GB models in Office Dept stores anymore. Good fortune for me as I have two 64 GB PBs for less than $500 in my hosue and one regular priced 16 GB model.

I searched this forum for threads before I posted, but failed to find it. I apologize for the duplication. I was successful at picking up the 64 GB model this evening. Needed the extra breathing room.

How many tablets are still for sale at any price as brand new with exact same hardware (except 4G LTE models just released) from 1.5 years ago that have had their OS updated more than twice with a major upgrade in the works? I think that speaks volumes to the excellent build quality and great value of the PlayBooks.

I think most if not all those coupons says excludes technology. So it shouldn't work on this tablet.

P.S My local OD still has 2 in stock. Will be going soon to pick it up.

My husband picked up a 64 gig from office Depot Tuesday for 199$. It was the last one they had. I'm now the owner of a beautiful 16 gig that's still under warranty

For those of who bought the 64gb recently, after you opened it, did you guys have to update the OS? If so, which os was it?

Luckily I picked up a new 64GB for my wife because the 64GB model I purchased from shopblackberry back in January has died. It worked fine yesterday evening, I put it in standby and it didn't wake up. I tried charging it with different chargers in different outlets.. NOTHING... not even a red light I believe my PB is still under warranty so hopefully RIM will quickly fix/replace it (I have the 16 GB model my wife was using to hold me over in the short term). It really sucks though because all of my picts, files, music, etc are gone... I can reload the music but I'm still bummed!! Because the 64 GB models are so cheap, maybe I should run out and get another one.

ps. I think it was the recalled .688 OS version that killed my PB. It drained my battery in 1/2 the time that the latest OS did.

Just went to Office Depot and purchased the last remaining 64gb along with the Targus Case. I also bought a $50 protection plan for 2 years. Taking a gamble with this one because I just don't trust others
