In Canada for select carriers
Canada is the first country to launch the 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, and additional models supporting various high speed cellular networks are expected to be available in the coming months from carriers in the US, Europe, South Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
And only if you appear at the carrier's store on a unicycle playing "Oh Canada" on a kazoo.
i think this is true think about it
since thor its all been 'coming soon' coming summer' they never actually make a date, so i think because they have named the date they must be 1000000000% sure it will be out that date, other wize it would say 'playbook 4g coming august'

I'm not sure what RIM is trying to achieve with this... The last PB was a failure in sales. Unless some market research came up with the solution for improved sales is 4G support, which I highly doubt, why waste time and money on this? Just focus resources on bb10.
I read a press issue stating that the new software would be 2.0.1 and not 2.1. Is that a typo or are they the same?
I'm glad they are just starting in Canada first. That seems like the smart move here.
That's not true!
