Can't update until I get home from work in 7 hours. It's going to be a long day. Hopefully there won't be too many bugs reported. I'm glad I can read all of your input before I get home to get me through the work day.
For everyone else that is stuck at work (like me)...don't forget that you have wifi hotspot if you have a 7.1 device. I downloaded 2.1 via my 9930!

How long did it take. I thought about doing that, been there once, took forever.

Anyone with battery guru can help to see if manual sync still drains battery faster than interval?

I haven't noticed anything that makes me go "wow, this is amazing" - seems like its the same old stuff but perhaps with a bit more pep to it.

I'm going to try the new Print to Go thing when I get to work to see if I can, in fact, print to go to my Playbook even though its on a different network compared. If that actually has been enabled, I'll be quite happy.

About the only thing that I'm not happy with - which is more of a philosophical position - is inapp payments for Android for games. I detest this business model; just charge me the true price of the game and let me play it instead of offering the game for "free"; and then charging me 1.99 if I want to move my character one step to the right; and 2.99 if i want to move my character two steps to the left.

bridge txt and BBM really does suck
What specifically sucks about it? That you have to Bridge in order to do it? They seem to work well for me.

The new Bridge has a glitch. For SMS, it will NOT show the latest text if it's not sent from you playbook.
    Mine does, works perfectly.

    Two findings

    1) sms notification has a red star even though all sms has been read, seems out of synch with BB

    2) KOBO reader not able to select font size.

Let me know I you see the same, else it looks like a very nice update

    Regards

I, for one, am VERY HAPPY with the update. Bing Maps and YouTube app now work via Bridge again! It's about time that someone figured out you usually need you map app while ON the road rather than when you're in the office/house! Life is better again...

Does anybody else have this issue with their SMS Bridge?

I have a contact with a phone number "1 (222) 333-4444" and I can send messages with that but when they send a message back it shows up in a different conversation with the number "+12223334444".

I am wondering why it took RIM so many months and approx 400MB for a Bridge SMS update? Seriously that's the only difference I've noticed.

Can someone please test whether the Active Sync multiple email bug has been fixed with this update?
While connected to a work exchange server via active sync, email sent from a playbook is sometimes sent 2 or 3 times. I heard that it's supposed to be fixed in 2.1, but I haven't read anything about that specific problem being resolved.

Same here. The notification on the top left on homescreen indicating a new sms does not go away, even tough i have no unread messages in my inbox!

none of my sideloaded previously installed android apps work
all of my previously sideloaded native apps work
have not had a chance to try reinstall sideloaded android apps
Reboot a couple of times and try them again, I and others have had same issue with first boot, but a couple of reboots cured it without having to reinstall anything.

    Cheers
