    Downloaded via Wifi:

    Download started: 8:38 am
    Install Completed: 8:51 am (reboot)
    Reboot Completed: 9:00 am

Initial thoughts: Browser is sloooooooow as molasses in January. Hopefully not a sign of things to come (initial launch of browser took about 45 seconds of blank screen just to show the favorites icon; loading crackberry forum took about 1:30...)

EDIT: UPDATE - I had the dreaded 'endless logo' when launching android apps; rebooted and now they seem to work fine (at least Flipboard, Moon+ and Advanced Task Killer...) But still, the broswer is slooooooooow. Every page is taking forever to load with the progress line stalling and checkerboarding forever. Not impressed one bit so far.

    Cheers

Someone tell me if you can now reply to YouTube comments and like them because it wasn't working in the beta which was pretty annoying since I use YouTube almost everyday.
I just checked, and I liked a video and commented just fine!

I am noticing that the color spots on boot up are moving around faster thatn before. Also, is the BlackBerry portion of the logo in a different font?

I was one of the lucky ones to have the update to 668... after that I noticed my VPN connections were gone under Security, VPN...

Guess what, after the update to 2.1.0.1032 they suddenly reappeared again!

    Thnx RIM!

Okay. They have definitely updated the splash screen on boot. Still taking a long time, but the dots seem more random and "detailed".

Reading the new comments here is getting me pumped for a faster playbook. It's been a long time coming... It's been freezing up in long word documents recently.

338 mb dl from version .358. How'd you all get into this .8 beta that i never heard about?

How in the world can you claim the battery life is better? Seriously? After what, maybe an hour?

The new Bridge has a glitch. For SMS, it will NOT show the latest text if it's not sent from you playbook.

    Quicker reboot
    App launch quicker
    Android (not sideloaded) apps work
    Browser about the same
Bridge SMS works but SMS only (no MMS - not displaying images in messages)
Bridge apps load a little quicker (might be my imagination)
Can't tell if bridge over wifi is working.
It took a minute or so for native email, contacts, calendar apps to reload/resync data.

Can't remember previous beta HTML5 support score.
    Current 2.1 is 393+10 ( was 373+9 for 2.0)
So it looks we gained 20 points more over
    Chrome (371+11)
    Opera Mobile (369+11)
    iOS6 (360+9).

    Who's the King of HTML5 Planet ?

I did a reboot before I posted. When an Android app is selected, I get the BB logo in the center of the black screen strobing and it just sits there. On some apps, it eventually goes away and returns to the main screen. On others, it just remains on that black screen with the logo.

I haven't tried all of them yet, but at least 20 of them and have yet to find one that worked before the upate that works now. Its actual and not a claim.
    Update...

Performed a 2nd restart and getting better results this time. Android apps are opening. See a major lag when changing from Portrait to landscape orientation that wasn't there before...but it changes eventually.

Bridge texting works without a hitch. Android apps run well. Native Messages, Contacts and Calendar work in portrait but has to re-sync all accounts before contacts will display. Seems to have wiped all of my appointments created in the local calendar and facebook birthday reminders are gone even after the re-sync.
