Hey guys - i have been running 2.0 for a few days now - but this is the first time i tried the camera and - no go

all black screen - photo and video mode

and if i try to take a pic i get
camera error - error.4003 picture

and for video
camera error - error.4003 video


any one else ?

I suggest trying to Reboot/Restart your PB and see if the camera error still occurs.
The camera is working on my PB with the beta 2.0

Camera was fine when I was running 2.0.
I've since downgraded to 1.0.7 so I can't test it for you now.

no, it should work on OS2.

it should work fine i have had both versions of OS beta 2.0 and they both worked fine so maybe a hard reboot is needed or sadly a wipe. good luck

same to me. sometimes screen totally black or weird white/gray grid.
try to restore to current version 1.0.7 the problem still there...

any help?

Same issue with me as well. Even video chat is not available. It says (unable to connect to video chat service) .. i updated to OS 2.0 Dev preview. Is there any way to downgrade as well ?

Video Chat was not available on the beta.

There have been issues with this with bridge engaged, regardless of bridge or OS version. Happened to me on ocassion.

This is 2.0 BETA, which is a far diff build than the release.

End-user apps won't be available in beta. If the camera doesn't work, then oh well.

Rather than create a whole new thread for this question I chose to bump up this one even though it is no longer Beta 2.0.

I updated from the last official OS and everything worked fine. Never had the beta OS, never side loaded anything, never rooted. Last night at a restaurant my friend tried to take a picture with my PB and it was all black screen. I figured the camera was obstructed but no. I tapped the take picture button and it showed the error.4003 message. Restarted the PB and researched it once I got home and I looked up and down CB and on google and this thread was the only thing that mentioned it. That or my search terms weren't useful I suppose. It worked fine previously to updating.

Any ideas?

Reset the PB multiple times, seems to work fine now..weird..

I'm also getting this problem. Rebooting seems to fix it but only for a short while. I hope it gets resolved.
Never had a problem with OS1 and I have no Android apps installed or sideloaded.

I would not let it go beyond your warranty period if it continues to act up.
