So I backed my items up today and moved them over to my new Curve. I decided to pretty much give my 8100 to a buddy of mine for really cheap. I read that wiping the handset brings it back to factory defaults.
So i did that.
It took roughly 20 mins to boot and the OS looks ... weird. No real GUI, looks stripped down, etc - primary colors are red, black and white.
So I did some searching here and other forums. Solution i found was:
* run JL commander
* reinstall OS.
So I did. My result was the same. When it clocks (instead of the hour glass) i get a huge asterick/star with each point of the star flashing in counter clockwise direction ... after 20 mins the weird OS loads. I've done this a few times and it still repeats.
