I have the 8100 and at some point in the middle of the night it "Scanning Address Book". It always says 0%. This freezes up my phone and the only way to get out of it is to power off. The other thing it does is effect my ringtone (will not ring, but will vibrate.) I have Facebook application, yahoo email, and Pandora on my phone. Not sure if any of that is effecting it. I got a new Pearl because ATT could not figure out what was wrong. So, I set this phone up and the first night I have it, it does it again. It is in the Voice Dialing and under it it says "Scanning Address Book" on a white screen. Nothing else is on the screen. Can someone please tell me how to make it stop???
It's definitely an issue with your VAD. If you don't use it, I would remove it from your OS, best through CrackMem on your PC, and then running loader.exe.
