I'm interested in seeing the status of the different Blackberry Pearls out there. You can obtain the following information using "ALT + eace" on the home screen. Hold down the ALT key and simply type "eace" and you'll get the to the information screen. You can't use Options > Status because that page doesn't show Uptime.

    My status:

Does the 8100 have more total memory? On my 8130, my File Total is at 50462720. Or could it be that this new OS that Verizon came out with eats up more space?

No...you're BB has been running for about an hour and a half and you have about 11 MB of memory left. That seems about right. If you want to have more memory, do a search on this forum and there are a ton of things you can do (remove extra languages, remove sample video, remove sample pictures, etc).

I removed everything mentioned above, plue got rid of voice dialing and some themes and with a couple of third party apps installed I start at around 20 MB when I reset my BB.

Like I said, 11 MB isn't too bad. I'd start worrying when it gets to about 4 - 5 MB.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease. I waited all night for a reply from someone. I'm a little nervous about deleting things. It seems very complicated.

when you get to a PC, check this link, it explains everything..

    http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ee-memory.html

Depending on what you want to delete, or what you use, you can gain 5+mb free.

I have the facebook app installed and I notice that the memory drops. But it's a very minute drop and I don't think it's a memory leak.
