Hiya all,

This is my first post here and I'm hopeing you can get me out of a fix...

I recently bought a BB Pearl 8120 (second hand) which was already unlocked. I use a Virgin sim card on PAYG.

I wanted to be able to read pdf files on my Pearl and found a java app that seemed to do this. I downloaded it to my pc (a .jar file), transfered it to the sd card and installed it from there. That's where the problem occured...

My Pearl is now stuck in a never ending boot loop. I've read the sticky post "How to reload the OS on a Nuked BB" which seems simple enough.

My problem is the device operating system. Virgin don't give support for the BB, and I'm guessing if I install one from, say, O2 UK, my BB will then be locked to O2 and my Virgin sim won't work?

So my question... is there an already unlocked version of the OS for the 8120 that I can install? Or if not, which OS should I use so that it can then be unlocked?
