What is "Content Protection?" Also, can I put a password solely on my MicroSD?

Hi, I'm new to the forums and the site in general, but I didn't find this topic covered anywhere:

In Security Options>General Settings, what is "Content Protection?" Is that just encryption? How does it help me?

Is there a way to protect the data on my MicroSD card with encryption and/or password protection? I know that I can apply a password to my BB as a whole, but can I apply my password specifically to my MicroSD card, so that I only have to enter my password when I'm accessing those files, not when I just need to make a call or play BrickBreaker? :) For example, is it possible to get the password prompt to come up when I go to "Media" (thereby accessing my MicroSD), but not have my BB locked all the time?

Here's what the User's Guide has to say about Content Protection:
Content protection is designed to encrypt your BlackBerry� device data. When content protection is turned on, your device uses a private key to encrypt data as it is stored on the device, including data that your device receives when it is locked. Your device decrypts data as you access it. You can set content protection to include or exclude your contacts. If you turn on content protection for contacts and you receive a call when the device is locked, the caller name does not appear on the screen. When you lock your device, an open lock indicator appears in the device status section of the screen to indicate that your device is deleting a copy of the private key from the temporary device memory. A lock indicator appears when the device has deleted the key.
Protect your device data
Verify that you have set a BlackBerry� device password.
1. In the device options, click Security Options.
2. Click General Settings.
3. Set the Content Protection field to Enabled.
4. To set content protection to exclude your contacts, set the Include Address Book field to No.
5. Press the Menu key.
6. Click Save.
Set content protection strength
Verify that content protection is turned on.
You can set the strength of the encryption that your BlackBerry� device uses to protect data that you receive when your device is locked.
1. In the device options, click Security Options.
2. Click General Settings.
3. Set the Strength field.
4. Press the Menu key.
5. Click Save.

About media card encryption
Media card encryption is designed to protect the data that you store on the media card that is inserted in your BlackBerry� device. You can encrypt the files on your media card using a media card encryption key, your device password, or both.
You can set media card encryption to include or exclude media files.
Encrypt the files on a media card
To encrypt files on the media card that is inserted in your BlackBerry� device using your device password, verify that you have set a device password.
1. In the device options, click Media Card.
2. Perform one of the following actions:
• To encrypt files using an encryption key that your device generates for your media card, set the Encryption Mode field to
Device.
• To encrypt files using your device password, set the Encryption Mode field to Security Password.
• To encrypt files using a media card encryption key and your device password, set the Encryption Mode field to Security
Password & Device.
3. To encrypt media files on your media card, set the Encrypt Media Files field to Yes.
4. Press the Menu key.
5. Click Save.
To turn off media card encryption, set the Encryption Mode field to None.

If after reading this info you still have questions, feel free to ask. The Media Card encryption topic is a little confusing.

I have a similar question. I requested to add someone to BBM using their PIN. I assume they accepted because their name went from Pending to Unavailable. But the message next to their name says "<Content Protection is enabled>". I have no idea what that means.
