Hi, would anyone know a reputable place I can send my 8100 without paying more then it would cost to replace it? It got wet somehow and will not even boot up. When I put the battery in the only thing that happens is the trackball goes bright red and then the key board lights up and the trackball goes pink.

Do you have insurance on it? How long has it been? Maybe take battery out for 24 hours and try again? People look on eBay/craigslist for a replacement?

Put your phone in a bowl of rice. The rice will dry up all of the water in the phone. Leave your battery out for at least 24 hrs. If this doesn't work I recommend using insurance if you have it. If you don't ebay has blackberrys at reasonable prices.

i got my BB wet and it was not working then a friend told me about the rice bowl and it TOTALLY!! i left it in three days, just make sure you cover your phone completely
