    I have Vista premium on my laptop....I have no problems with my Pearl. Loaded cd to laptop..........make sure windows defender is off too.

    From within Windows Vista, go to START, and enter Windows Defender in the search field, and press enter. Within the program you can turn it off. Albeit, I've installed the respective device and Desktop Manager software, and it's worked...
