Is there any way to get this phone to work on Verizon's network? I'm getting a Droid to replace my Verizon non-smartphone and ditching T-Mobile's service (and thus making it so I'm not carrying around 2 cellphones), and my sister would like a smartphone to use on a prepaid Verizon-network service. My guess is no, but I welcome any responses, whether to confirm or refute that guess. Thanks.

The Pearl 8130 is the CDMA variant, and it'll work on Verizon as long as you find a Verizon branded one.
I'm not sure if they'll accept it on their prepaid network, so that question still remains.

You can't use a 8100, because it's GSM and Verizon is CDMA.

That's what I thought. Thanks, I'll have to let her know the bad news. And I might end up keeping this one a little longer anyway, I'm looking at ways to optimize the memory usage, and the service is covered in such a way that I'm not paying for it out of pocket.
