so i upgraded my BB to the new OS and it deleted EVERYTHING! all of my contacts and calendar appointments are GONE! after i have finally calmed down from it and started to add everything back in, i realized i dont have BBM so i went online to download it OTA and it says that i dont meet the requirements! WHATS UP WITH THAT?!?! PLEASE HELP!

First if you back up your blackberry this wouldn't be an issue, second you can not download BBM OTA. Sounds like your missing some core apps.

Yes backing up often is a must.

Hopefully you still have to os on your pc, if you don't download it again and do this
1. open the dm
2. back up you berry
3. then after that is done go back to the main menu and click the app loader
4. It should give you a list of what you want installed and scroll till you find bbm, make sure there's a check mark and then hit next and that should bring it back
