    Before i upgrade my flip should i sync it with my laptop? or will everything (contacts, pics, themes, etc.) still be intact?

    always backup before the upgrade. always.

    The upgrade process includes below 3 steps.
    1. Backup device.
    2. Wipe and upgrade.
    3. Restore the data.

    But for safety point always take backup before starting upgrade.
