    Hey gang,

if i have a WiFi network already setup at home, would i still need to get the router from t-mobile in order to use the Hotspot service? I'm usually on UMA at home but it seems to be affecting my phone calls (calls don't come in or won't go out til the 3rd try [call failed] error).

    thanks,

I'm not using my T-Mobile router and don't have that problem. I had major problems before the newest update. 4.5.0.124 That wasn't released until last Friday.

Nope, no problems for me with whatever router is available... However some are definitely much better for UMA than others. i think it may have to do with their default open ports as well as signal strength. I know my Linksys WRT54GS model works nicely, whereas my D-link 614 does not work as well. I've also used Apple Airport Routers, and the High powered access points at my school.

    From doing a quick search:
Set your router's advanced settings to these:
    Beacon Interval: 50
    Fragmentation Threshold: 2304
    RTS Threshold: 2304
